Greetings!
My name is Sarine, I am the founder of Royal Baths.
It all started with a friend complaining about her husband’s skin condition & cracking hands. He had consulted a few medical practitioners, had used a few prescribed ointments, liquid & solid soap bars. However, none had helped his case improve. He was certain what was drying his hands further were the cleansing detergents he was washing his hands with. Having an helping & learning mindset, I immediately dove into researching about soap making. Within a short interval of time, I managed to create a recipe that I later named Farmer’s Hands, made with moisturizing oils, butters, coconut milk & avocado fruit paste. The product was a success & it met the target. My friend’s husband’s skin condition was cured within two weeks. They were both satisfied with the outcome… I kept making the bars & providing them to him in bulk for 2 years. During which time, the couple was trying to convince me to turn this into a business. I overlooked, as I had temporarily left my job in the aviation industry to continue my studies to seek further career development in the aviation field.
While I was studying, the country I was supposed to travel to was going through a political unrest, which was a halt for me to return to my passion, to aviation…
During those 2 years, after taking my bars to the research center, ensuring I was practicing safe methods of soap making, I mastered cold & hot processed soap making, in addition to liquid soap making. My interest into developing other products also grew.
After the Farmer’s Hands, I met curly haired ladies who were following a specific method, to wash their hair, called the Curly Girl’s Method. I watched them very closely, learned about the ingredients of the products they could use, what they were using very often to grow their hair healthier, curlier & longer. I developed shampoo bars for them with all the ingredients they loved using & distributed to a few of them to try them out. That’s when they all encouraged me to keep supplying them with the shampoo bars & to turn this into a business. They were my first customers! Their favorite shampoo bar is the Royal Curlita (made of red wine) & the Curly Girl’s Favorite Shampoo Bars (made of banana & avocado paste, many oils & butters, Indian herbs that help grow the hair, rice water, essential oils, etc…) The bars that saw success the most are the Farmer’s Hands, Donkey Milk Bar, Collagen Oatmeal, The Magician, Snake Shed bars. Majority of the bars are made with organic oils & essential oils. I’ve introduced cosmetic grade fragrance oils into few of the bars after customers’ requests. The bars are still considered “natural”. I don’t make Syndet bars.
All Royal Baths’ hair products are free of parabens, silicones, mineral oils, waxes, phthalates, drying alcohols & sulfates.
Currently, Royal Baths sells soap & shampoo bars, liquid soap, clarifying liquid shampoo, scented candles, wax melts, lip balms, hair mists, body mists, solid perfumes. I also custom make products as per the customers’ requests, provided I can find the ingredients locally.
During the last couple of years, having seen my country’s population’s struggle to survive due to the financial & economic crisis, it has become my utmost principle to purchase products locally and precisely from small business owners as they are the ones who need our support the most to support their families & survive in the business world, specially during such difficult situation the population is facing, even if my purchase of raw materials from them will cost much more than buying from wholesale suppliers, provided I know I’m working for a cause, not only for making & selling products…
It is also essential to mention, that amounts from the sales of certain products are dedicated to extending a helping hand to the needy. Proceeds from the sales of all Royal Baths’ Lavender products are dedicated to helping less fortunate children. While proceeds from the sales of Pet Shampoo bars are dedicated to feeding stray cats & dogs, also to participating into rescue missions.
It has always been a target for me to draw smiles on people’s faces. I feel humbled whenever a customer gets back to thank the brand name for providing such products that have helped their skin conditions & restored their self-confidence.
